Historic preservation grants

Sec. 10. To be eligible to receive a grant for a project involving the historic preservation of real property, the following conditions must be met in addition to those set forth in section 8 of this chapter: (1) The applicant must be a municipal corporation or a nonprofit corporation that has no affiliation with religion. (2) The property must be listed in the Indiana State Register of Historic Sites and Structures. (3) The project must meet professional standards in architecture, history, and archeology established by rules of the commission. (4) Some of the facilities of the property must regularly be open to the public or be maintained for public benefit. (5) The applicant must demonstrate that there are adequate provisions, including sufficient identified sources of money, to ensure that the property will be adequately operated and maintained.
