Sec. 19. (a) "Autism", for purposes of IC 12-11-8 , has the meaning set forth in IC 12-11-8-1 . (b) "Autism", for purposes of IC 12-11-1.1-6 and IC 12-28-4-13 , refers to an autism spectrum disorder that is described in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association.
