Sec. 151. "Psychiatric hospital", for purposes of section 82 of this chapter, means any of the following: (1) A state institution. (2) A general hospital: (A) licensed by the Indiana department of health; and (B) that maintains and operates facilities for the observation, care, treatment, and detention of individuals who have a mental illness.
