Indiana Code § 12-30-1-7

Delegation of duties; contract for services; action not constituting discontinuance

Sec. 7. (a) The board of commissioners of a county may: (1) delegate the performance of the board's duties under this article; and (2) contract for the services reasonably required to operate and maintain the county home, including the management of the county home; on terms and conditions the board finds reasonable and in the best interests of the county.       (b) Any action taken by the board of commissioners of a county under this section does not constitute a discontinuance under section 6 of this chapter as long as the board's actions under this section do not limit the ultimate authority of the board of commissioners over the county home.   IC 12-30-2 Chapter 2.
