Sec. 2. Except as provided in sections 3 and 4 of this chapter, the following Indiana courts have jurisdiction over a proceeding under this article: (1) A court having probate jurisdiction. (2) A superior court in a county in which the circuit court has exclusive probate jurisdiction. (3) A mental health division of a superior court to the extent the mental health division has jurisdiction under IC 33-33-49 .
