Sec. 3. The commission shall be appointed as follows: (1) Sixteen (16) members shall be appointed by the administrator of the office as follows: (A) Six (6) members representing Medicaid providers, with no more than one (1) representative of each Medicaid type. (B) Two (2) members representing managed care entities. (C) Two (2) members representing: (i) state or local consumer advocacy groups; or (ii) other community based organizations; that represent the interests of, or provide direct service to, Medicaid beneficiaries. (D) Six (6) members of the Medicaid beneficiary advisory commission established by IC 12-15-33.3-2 . (2) Two (2) members of the senate appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate. (3) Two (2) members of the senate appointed by the president pro tempore of the senate after consultation with the minority leader of the senate. (4) Two (2) members of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker of the house. (5) Two (2) members of the house of representatives appointed by the speaker of the house after consultation with the minority leader of the house. [Pre-1992 Revision Citation: 12-1-13-1(b).]
