Sec. 9.5. (a) If a managed care organization: (1) contracts with the office to provide home modification services under a risk based managed care program; and (2) receives a request for a home modification from a patient care coordinator; the managed care organization shall submit a request for project specifications for the home modification to a certified project specification writer not later than fifteen (15) days from receipt of the request. (b) Not later than fifteen (15) days from receipt of the completed project specifications, the managed care organization shall: (1) approve; or (2) deny with explanation; the home modification. (c) If the managed care organization approves the home modification, the managed care organization shall request bids and notify any willing provider of the bid request not later than five (5) days from the approval for the home modification. (d) Not later than thirty (30) days from the request for bid notification and receipt of bids, the managed care organization shall notify: (1) the winning bid provider of the award for the home modification service; and (2) each unsuccessful bid provider that the provider was not awarded the bid and an explanation for not awarding the bid to the provider.
