Sec. 8. (a) A member appointed to the council by the governor serves a term of three (3) years, beginning on July 1 after appointment. However, a member appointed to fill a vacancy on the council serves for the remainder of the unexpired term. (b) A member appointed to the council by the governor may not serve more than two (2) consecutive terms.
