Probation officers; permissive powers

Sec. 5. A probation officer may: (1) visit and confer with any person under investigation or under his supervision; (2) exercise those powers necessary to carry out his duties; and (3) act as a parole officer for the department when requested by the department and when the request is approved by the court.
