Sec. 4. (a) The department shall reimburse communities on a per diem basis for services provided to persons assigned to a community transition program under IC 11-10-11.5 . (b) The department shall set the per diem rate under this section. In setting the per diem rate for a community, the department may consider the direct costs incurred by the community to provide a community transition program. The per diem may not be less than seven dollars ($7). (c) Funding provided under this section is in addition to any other funding received under IC 11-12-2 for community corrections programs or IC 11-13-2 for probation services. (d) Money received by a community under this section shall be deposited in the community transition program fund for the community.
