Sales of property no longer of value to national guard

Sec. 5. (a) If an entry under section 4 of this chapter is made, the governor or adjutant general may order the property sold at public or private sale as in their judgment will be for the best interests of the state.       (b) Payment for a sale of property under subsection (a) shall be made in cash to the adjutant general who shall: (1) enter of record the receipt of the money; (2) turn the property over to the purchaser; and (3) pay the money to the treasurer of the state. The money becomes and remains a part of the military fund to be used for the benefit of the Indiana national guard. [Pre-2003 Recodification Citation: 10-2-6-7.]
