(a) The Department shall administer this Act. For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this Act, the Director may authorize his or her representatives in the Department to perform any necessary inspections or investigations under this Act. (b) The Department shall maintain a division within the Department to be known as the Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
