(a) The Department shall be administered by the Director of Corrections who shall be appointed by the Governor in accordance with the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. (b) The Director shall establish such Divisions within the Department in addition to those established under Sections 3-2-5 and 3-2-5.5 as shall be desirable and shall assign to the various Divisions the responsibilities and duties placed in the Department by the laws of this State.
