(a)(1) If a person is found to be a sexually violent person under this Act, the court shall require the person to provide a biological specimen for deoxyribonucleic acid analysis in accordance with Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections. (2) The results from deoxyribonucleic acid analysis of a specimen under paragraph (a)(1) of this Section may be used only as authorized by Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections. (b) The rules adopted by the Illinois State Police under Section 5-4-3 of the Unified Code of Corrections are the procedures that must be followed for persons to provide specimens under paragraph (a)(1) of this Section.
