(a) The pretrial services agency shall provide the circuit court with accurate background data regarding the pretrial release of persons charged with felonies and effective supervision of compliance with the terms and conditions imposed on release. (b) Before entering upon the duties of office, each pretrial officer shall take and subscribe to an oath to support the constitution and laws of the United States and the State of Illinois and to perform faithfully the duties of that office. (1) Pretrial officers employed by local pretrial services agencies shall take the oath before the Chief Judge of their circuit or the Chief Judge's designee.
