(This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a delayed effective date ) Sec. 15. Office of State Public Defender. The Office of State Public Defender is created as an agency of State government and as an independent agency within the judicial branch of government. The Office of State Public Defender shall be under the supervision and direction of the State Public Defender, and its records are subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
