Illinois Code § 705 ILCS 65/6

The reports of decisions of the Supreme Court and Appellate Court

shall be distributed as follows: Five copies to the Library of Congress, one
copy to the President of the United States, one copy to each state and
territorial library, one copy to each State officer required to reside at the
copies shall be deposited in the library of the Supreme Court of this State,
and 2 copies shall be deposited in the State Library for the use of the State.

 
For the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Section,
the Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts is
authorized and required to purchase a sufficient number of copies of each
volume of the reports from time to time as they are published.

 
This provision shall not be construed to require the Director to purchase
and distribute the reports to any office or library that declines receipt of
them.

 
The Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts is
authorized to purchase a sufficient number of copies of each volume of reports
as required by the judges, clerks of courts, and research departments of the
Supreme Court, the Appellate Court, and the circuit courts of this State.
