Creation of District.

There is created in the City of Springfield
a medical center district, the Mid-Illinois
 Medical District, whose
boundaries are 11th Street on the east, North Grand Avenue
on the north, Walnut Street on the west, and Madison Street on the south, all in the City of Springfield, Illinois.
The District is created to attract and retain academic centers of excellence,
viable health care facilities, medical research facilities, emerging high
technology enterprises, and other facilities and uses as permitted by this
Act.
