(a) Any reimbursements for the construction of flood protection facilities shall be appropriated to the district in accordance with the location of the specific facility for which the federal appropriation is made. (b) If there are federal reimbursements to the district for construction of flood protection facilities that were built using revenues authorized by this Act, those funds shall be used for the early retirement of bonds issued in accordance with this Act. (c) When all bond obligations of the district have been paid, the remaining federal reimbursement moneys shall be remitted in equal shares to the drainage districts and sanitary district included within the boundaries of the district to be used for the continued long-term maintenance of federal levees and flood protection districts.
