(Section scheduled to be repealed on June 1, 2026) Sec. 3B.09b. Payment of fares by credit card. (a) By February 28, 2010, the Commuter Rail Board shall allow passengers to purchase fares by credit card (i) through an Internet website operated by the Board, (ii) at its LaSalle Street Station, Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center, and Millennium Station, (iii) at stations with agents, and (iv) from vending machines capable of providing fares by credit card at the 14 largest stations on the Metra Electric Line. (b) The Board may not require a passenger who chooses to purchase a fare by credit card to pay an additional fee.
