organized under this Act is changed from "trustees" and "boards of trustees" to "commissioners" and "boards of commissioners". Wherever any of the terms "trustee", "trustees", or "board of trustees" is used in this Act or in any other Act to refer to the corporate authorities of a sanitary district organized under this Act, those terms shall mean, respectively, "commissioner", "commissioners" and "board of commissioners". The change made by this amendatory Act of 1975 is intended to change only the designations of the corporate authorities of sanitary districts organized under this Act. It shall not operate to reduce the term of any member elected or appointed to the board of any such sanitary district. No action taken before the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1975 by the corporate authorities of any sanitary district organized under this Act shall be rendered invalid by reason of the fact that such corporate authorities were designated as trustees or boards of trustees in relation to that action.
