(a) The ordinance fixing compensation for members of the corporate authorities shall specify whether those members are to be compensated (i) at an annual rate or (ii) for each meeting of the corporate authorities actually attended if public notice of the meeting was given. (b) Each member of the corporate authorities may receive reimbursement from the municipality for expenses incurred by the member in attending committee meetings of the corporate authorities or for other expenses incurred by the member in the course of performing official duties.
