(a) Within 5 days after receiving a report of an Illinois conviction, or other verified evidence, of any driver who has been issued a CLP or CDL by another State or has been issued a foreign commercial driver's license, for a violation of any law or local ordinance of this State, relating to motor vehicle traffic control, other than parking violations, committed in any motor vehicle, the Secretary of State must notify the driver licensing authority which issued such CLP or CDL of said conviction. (b) Within 5 days after receiving a report of an Illinois conviction, or other verified evidence, of any driver from another state who is licensed or unlicensed or holds a foreign non-commercial driver's license, for a violation of any law or local ordinance of this State, relating to motor vehicle traffic control, other than parking violations, committed in a commercial motor vehicle, the Secretary of State must notify the driver licensing authority which issued the person's driver's license of the conviction. ; 98-722, eff. 7-16-14.)
