(a) Dealers may obtain drive-away permits for use as provided in this Code, for a fee of $6 per permit for permits purchased on or before June 30, 2003 and $10 for permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003. For drive-away permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003, $4 of the fee collected for the purchase of each permit shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund. (b) Transporters may obtain one-trip permits for vehicles in transit for use as provided in this Code, for a fee of $6 per permit for permits purchased on or before June 30, 2003 and $10 for permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003. For one-trip permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003, $4 of the fee collected from the purchase of each permit shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund. (c) Non-residents may likewise obtain a drive-away permit from the Secretary of State to export a motor vehicle purchased in Illinois, for a fee of $6 per permit for permits purchased on or before June 30, 2003 and $10 for permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003. For drive-away permits purchased on or after July 1, 2003, $4 of the fee collected for the purchase of each permit shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund. (d) One-trip permits may be obtained for an occasional single trip by a vehicle as provided in this Code, upon payment of a fee of $19. (e) One month permits may likewise be obtained for the fees and taxes prescribed in this Code and as promulgated by the Secretary of State.
