funds to place, erect, and maintain signs or surface markings or both to indicate officially designated bicycle routes along streets within the municipality. In addition, a municipality may use motor fuel tax funds for the construction and maintenance of bicycle paths, lanes, or bicycle parking facilities within the municipality.
