Any 2 or more cities, villages, or townships may jointly unite in establishing and maintaining cemeteries within and without the corporate limits or territory of either or any of them, may acquire lands for those cemeteries in common by purchase, condemnation, or otherwise, may lay out lots of convenient size for families, and may sell lots for family burying ground or to individuals for burial purposes.
