after their appointment, to hold a meeting and organize, by appointing one of their number president, and another one of their number clerk, whose duty it shall be to keep a record of all their official acts in a book to be provided for that purpose, and the trustees shall also appoint a treasurer, who may or may not be one of their number, who, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall give bond, with security, payable to the people of the State of Illinois, for the use and benefit of the county in which the grounds are situated, in such sum as the appointing authority may require for his approval for the safe care and management of all the moneys which may come into his possession as such treasurer.
