Herpetoculture permit holders shall maintain written records of all herptiles possessed, bought, sold, hatched, propagated, or shipped and that are indigenous to this State for a minimum of 2 years after the date of the transaction and shall be made immediately available to authorized employees of the Department upon request. These records shall include the name and address of the buyer and seller, the appropriate permit number of the buyer and seller, the date of the transaction, the species name (both common and scientific), and the origin of herptile involved. Records of the annual operations, as may be required by the Department, shall be forwarded to the Department upon request. The criteria and standards for a Herpetoculture permit shall be provided by administrative rule.
