Illinois Code § 425 ILCS 5/1

(a)

As used in this Act, "high-rise apartment building" means any multiple
unit dwelling with more than 3 levels above street level.

 
(b) As used in this Act, "multiple dwelling" means any building containing
6 or more living units other than a hotel, motel or condominium.

 
(c) As used in this Act, "dwelling unit" means a living unit in a high-rise
apartment building or multiple dwelling other than a living unit on the
ground floor with a direct exit to the outside.
