Illinois Code § 410 ILCS 525/13

(a) Violation of this Act is a Class A misdemeanor.

(b) Any person who violates this Act shall be liable for a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000 for each violation.
 
(c) The Department may request the Attorney General or the State's Attorney of the county in which the violation occurred to proceed in a court of competent jurisdiction to secure such relief as provided in this Section, as well as injunctive relief to restrain violations of this Act.
