State Finance Act, the Legislative Research Unit is the successor to the Illinois Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation. The Legislative Research Unit succeeds to and assumes all powers, duties, rights, responsibilities, personnel, assets, liabilities, and indebtedness of the Illinois Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation. Any reference in any law, rule, form, or other document to the Illinois Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation is deemed to be a reference to the Legislative Research Unit. For purposes of the Successor Agency Act and Section 9b of the State Finance Act, on and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 100th General Assembly, the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability is the successor to the Legislative Research Unit. The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability succeeds to and assumes all powers, duties, rights, responsibilities, personnel, assets, liabilities, and indebtedness of the Legislative Research Unit with respect to the provisions of this Article 4.
