Illinois Code § 240 ILCS 10/8

Issuance and period of license.

Upon compliance with this Act by the applicant, the Commission shall
issue a license or licenses to such applicant which is valid for one year
from the date of its issuance unless said license is suspended or revoked
after due process in accordance with this Act.
