(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031) Sec. 175. Home rule. The regulation and licensing of the practice of professional geology are exclusive powers and functions of the State. A home rule unit may not regulate or license the practice of professional geology, except as provided under subsection (e) of Section 20 of this Act. This Section is a denial and limitation of home rule powers and functions under subsection (h) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution.
