(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 31. Temporary suspension of a license or registration. The Secretary may temporarily suspend the license or registration of a structural engineer without a hearing, simultaneously with the institution of proceedings for a hearing provided for in Section 22 of this Act, if the Secretary finds that evidence in the Department's possession indicates that a structural engineer's continuation in practice would constitute an imminent danger to the public. In the event that the Secretary temporarily suspends the license or registration of a structural engineer without a hearing, a hearing by the Board must be commenced within 30 days after such suspension has occurred.
