(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 15.5. Structural Engineer, Retired. (a) Under Section 2105-15 of the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, the Department may grant the title "Structural Engineer, Retired" to any person who has been duly licensed as a structural engineer by the Department and who has chosen to place on inactive status or not renew his or her license. Those persons granted the title "Structural Engineer, Retired" may request restoration to active status under the applicable provisions of this Act. (b) The use of the title "Structural Engineer, Retired" shall not constitute representation of current licensure. Any person without an active license shall not be permitted to practice structural engineering as defined in this Act. (c) Nothing in this Section shall be construed to require the Department to issue any certificate, credential, or other official document indicating that a person has been granted the title "Structural Engineer, Retired".
