(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 46. Home rule. The regulation and licensing of professional engineers is an exclusive power and function of the State. Pursuant to subsection (h) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution, a home rule unit may not regulate or license the occupation of professional engineer. This section is a denial and limitation of home rule powers and functions.
