(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec. 17.7. Restoration of license from discipline. (a) At any time after the successful completion of a term of indefinite probation, suspension, or revocation of a license under this Act, the Department may restore the license to the licensee unless, after an investigation and a hearing, the Secretary determines that restoration is not in the public interest. (b) If circumstances of suspension or revocation so indicate, the Department may require an examination of the licensee prior to restoring his or her license. (c) No person whose license has been revoked as authorized in this Act may apply for restoration of that license until allowed under the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. (d) A license that has been suspended or revoked shall be considered nonrenewed for purposes of restoration under this Section and a licensee restoring his or her license from suspension or revocation must comply with the requirements for renewal as set forth in this Act and its rules.
