Sec. 8.2a. 
Conditional license; Department of Early Childhood. 
The Department of Early Childhood may issue a conditional license to any day care center, day care home, or group day care home which currently is licensed under this Act. The conditional license shall be a nonrenewable license for a period of 6 months and the Department of Early Childhood shall revoke any other license held by the conditionally licensed facility. Conditional licenses shall only be granted to facilities where no threat to the health, safety, morals or welfare of the children served exists. A complete listing of deficiencies and a corrective plan approved by the Department of Early Childhood shall be in existence at the time a conditional license is issued. Failure by the facility to correct the deficiencies or meet all licensing standards at the end of the conditional license period shall result in immediate revocation of or refusal to renew the facility's license as provided in Section 8.1a of this Act.
