(Text of Section before amendment by P.A. 103-594 ) Sec. 4.5. Children with disabilities; training. (a) An owner or operator of a licensed day care home or group day care home or the onsite executive director of a licensed day care center must successfully complete a basic training course in providing care to children with disabilities. The basic training course will also be made available on a voluntary basis to those providers who are exempt from the licensure requirements of this Act. (b) The Department of Children and Family Services shall promulgate rules establishing the requirements for basic training in providing care to children with disabilities.
