(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030) Sec. 21-1401. Home rule. (a) The provisions of this Article are a limitation of home rule powers under subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution. (b) Nothing in this Article shall be construed to limit or deny a home rule unit's power to tax as set forth in Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution.
