26a. Automobile insurance sales requirements. (a) Every company authorized to issue policies of automobile insurance as defined in Section 143.13 must, upon request, provide the names and addresses of its authorized producers reasonably determined to be located nearest to the residence of the person making the request. (b) No company or authorized licensed producer may refuse to accept an application for automobile insurance from any applicant solely on the grounds that the applicant is eligible for placement only under the Illinois Automobile Insurance Plan.
