(a) This Act applies to all hospitals licensed under the Hospital Licensing Act or the University of Illinois Hospital Act. This Act does not apply to a hospital that does not charge for its services. (b) The obligations of hospitals under this Act shall take effect for services provided on or after the first day of the month that begins 180 days after the effective date of this Act. (c) The obligations of hospitals under this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly shall apply to services provided on or after the first day of the month that begins 180 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly.
