(a) Before December 31, 2006, the Department may, subject to appropriation, provide information to the public on energy-efficient appliances by a hypertext link to the Energy Star Internet website maintained by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or by compiling information about the Energy Star Program on the Department's website. (b) For the purpose of this Section, an "energy-efficient appliance" means any household appliance that qualifies as an "Energy Star" product under the Energy Star Program administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
