Illinois Code § 20 ILCS 3935/3

The Board has the following powers and duties:

(a) to determine an individual applicant's clinical eligibility for a given
viable experimental procedure, and to recommend to the Director of Public
Health approval of the disbursement of appropriate funds therefor;

 
(b) to develop and disseminate to all Illinois hospitals appropriate
protocols for the procurement, processing, distribution and use of human
organs, tissues and other body parts, to provide guidance for persons and
hospitals engaged in such activities, and to promote the availability of
organ transplants in this State; and

 
(c) to establish such operating procedures, and promulgate such rules
and regulations as it deems necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
