The Secretary of State may, upon written notice of at least 5 days to the person, require the person to appear at a Driver Services facility if: (i) the Secretary has issued an identification card in error; (ii) the person has become ineligible to retain the identification card; or (iii) the Secretary has good cause to believe that the identification card was issued based on invalid, fictitious, or fraudulent documents. Upon the appearance of an identification card holder at a Driver Services facility, the Secretary shall, as applicable, correct the identification card error, issue a new identification card, or verify that the identification card holder possesses valid identification documents. Refusal or neglect of the identification card holder to appear shall result in the cancellation of the identification card. in error; identification card; or the identification card was issued based on invalid, fictitious, or fraudulent documents.
