(1) The commission may grant attorneys' fees to attorneys for representing claimants before the commission. Any attorney's fee granted by the commission shall be in addition to compensation awarded the claimant under this chapter. (2) The commission may regulate the amount of the attorney's fee in any claim under this chapter when an attorney is representing a claimant. (3) In no claim or case may attorney fees in excess of five percent (5%) of the amount paid to a claimant or on his behalf be paid directly or indirectly to a claimant's attorney.
