The Secretary of State shall inspect each statement filed in his office under this act within two (2) days after the date it is filed. He shall notify a person required to file a statement under this act immediately if: (a) it appears that the person has failed to file a statement as required by law or that a statement filed by the person does not conform to law; or (b) a written complaint is filed with the Secretary of State by any registered voter alleging that a statement filed with the Secretary of State does not conform to law or to the truth or that a person has failed to file a statement required by law.
