Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any former employee of Selland college of applied technology at Boise state university (BSU) whose sick leave accumulated at BSU and was transferred to the college of western Idaho (CWI) pursuant to section 33-2109B , Idaho Code, and who, on or before September 1, 2012, was transferred to or otherwise became an eligible employee of the state of Idaho immediately following termination of employment with CWI shall be credited by the state of Idaho with the amount of sick leave transferred to CWI from BSU that remains unused, upon commencement of state employment. After such transfer, the use of sick leave shall be governed by the laws and rules applicable to state employees and by any applicable policies of the state agency or entity thereafter employing such employee.
