Each of the following shall be unlawful and punishable as a misdemeanor: (1) The violation of any of the provisions of this chapter; (2) Permitting any person in one's employ, supervision or control to practice as a barber, barber-stylist or barber instructor unless that person has complied with the provisions of this chapter, or to practice cosmetology unless that person has complied with the provisions of chapter 8, title 54 , Idaho Code; (3) Obtaining or attempting to obtain a license for money other than the required fee, or any other thing of value, or by fraudulent misrepresentation; (4) Practicing or attempting to practice by fraudulent misrepresentations; (5) The willful failure to display a license as required by section 54-514 , Idaho Code; (6) The use of any room or place for cutting or trimming the hair which is also used for residential or business purposes, except the sale of such commodities as are used in barbershops, unless a substantial partition of ceiling height separates the portion used for residential or business purposes; or (7) Maintaining or operating a barbershop or barber college unless licensed as herein provided.
