Within the scope of occupational therapy practice, supervision is aimed at ensuring the safe and effective delivery of occupational therapy services and fostering professional competence and development. Practices and procedures governing the supervision of occupational therapy assistants, a limited permit holder and an aide in the delivery of occupational therapy services shall be established in rule and be adopted by the board. Practices and procedures shall include, but not be limited to, delivery of occupational therapy services, facilitation of growth and competence, frequency, methods and content of supervision, a plan of supervision and required documentation of compliance with the plan.
